The End of June
Sunday, June 26, 201110:38 PM

Sigh.

It's nearing the end of June holidays already! Time flies so fast, like a mosquito confronted with insect repellent.

Actually, not really. For the first 3 weeks, I thought the month was stretching very long and the days seemed to be endless. So I was doing holiday stuff like bumming around, catching up on my reading list, stalking people online and watching so many movies at one go I think my eyes shrunk from all the computer usage. (All thanks to you, Harry Potter. You disfigure me.)

Anyway, it was kind of nice knowing you had the whole day for yourself to do whatever you like, being under no obligation to do anything worthwhile. I actually dragged my sorry self to the pool once in awhile, though swimming would be a bit of a stretch? Floating sounds more like it. You must be delusional if you thought for a second I would actually exercise voluntarily :P

Then somehow this week, thanks to a certain holy partner and her study dates, I was struck by the horrifying realisation that I had allowed 21 days to fly by! Just like that. And Block Test 2 was coming soon, unfortunately :S These 2 facts combined were enough of a motivation that I decided to pull up my socks and start studying!

No, seriously, I'm not joking. This is fact! I actually managed to complete my homework (Well, most of them at least. We'll leave the quality part out) AND start making notes for Bio/Chem. And this, my friends, is a historical achievement and milestone that the old Me would never have dreamt of accomplishing!

What can I say?! I'm just too hardworking for my own good. I'm kidding. I feel awkward and ashamed for even daring to proclaim this, even if it's a joke.

So the moral of the story is, if you're bored and you need time to pass quickly, studying is a highly-effective method! But only if you're actually interested. While I was perfectly happy reading about human eyeballs, my progress in Math and Physics has been appalling. It's shocking how slow I am when doing Math. I could probably break a record or something, like "First Girl Who Manages To Take 1 Day To Finish 2 Questions!" Or for Physics, "First Girl Who Takes 1 Day To Fish Out Physics WS And Decides To Go Searching For Food Instead!"

I just knew right from the start that I would be moaning and groaning by this time ): But for now, I'm going to put aside the unpleasantries of what going back to school means for my rest and relaxation time, and savour whatever's left of the June Holidays.

Bye, June. We've had fun. See you soon!
